ATLANTIC PARK

Public BBQ

A small, quiet neighbourhood park at Loganholme suited to families with young children. The setup is modest and worth knowing in advance: a single barbecue, one seating area, a compact playground with a slide and swings, and a basketball court that works well for a shootaround or training. There are no public toilets. It is peaceful rather than busy, with enough room for children to play within easy sight, though it is not really large enough to call a picnic ground. Public transport is close — bus routes running to the Hyperdome stop about five minutes' walk away — and local shops are nearby. Dogs are welcome on lead. The park is slated for an upgrade, though no date has been set.
